Re: Sales of Crayons and Blow torch lighters soar!! (><,)
Please explain exactly how this method works! I have been to a local goldsmith to have engraving filled with gold (or anything) and I was told it is impossible! So I will attempt it myself!( with much more cost effective materials)
In retrospect, maybe he just got moer scared when I pulled out my lever action in his store!"WAIT !!!!! We need a plan of attack!!" Iron Man:"I have a plan. ATTACK!!!"

Re: Sales of Crayons and Blow torch lighters soar!! (><,)
get a blowtorch lighter
get the colour crayons you want to fill it with
melt the crayon over the writing
let that set
now take the lighter again and melt the hard wax again
while the wax is in liquid form, still scrap the excess of with a credit card

Re: Sales of Crayons and Blow torch lighters soar!! (><,)
people have been tacti-crayon'ing their 15-22 for the last couple years, with this method.
because the crayon is wax based and oily, your normal hand oils will not affect it that easily... it'll stick quite well in the grooves.
the "normal" method is to rub the crayon into the grooves, like shaving it off.... until the grooves are full.
then using a gun-cleaning oil and cloth to neatly scrape the excess off around the edges, make it look neat.
so, i can only imagine with heating it... it'll bond even better.
