    Default Vortex scope

    some comments please guys.
i am looking to buy a scope for my .243, got my eye on a few options but not sure which way to go?

what is the Vortex Crossfire like? good buy? I am looking at the 4-12x44. the question here is not the magnification etc but the brand and model?

other option I am concidering is the Redfields

please gooi some comments, especially on the Vortex crossfire.

I have some mates who have baught Vortex scopes and have only had good things to say about them. Their binoculars also seem to be quiet nice. I was playing with a Vortex spotting scope and it was very nice.

I have the Viper on my 243 and it has not ever let me down. Did the "box" test a couple of times and it always passed with flying colours. I won't hesitate to buy another Vortex.

Leupoldt vx1 at the same price point. Better eye relief and clearer. I had the 3~12 x 40 vortex and changed it for the vx1.

The Burris is very well priced, clear optics and has lifetime warranty.
