I've been here twice - 2011 & 2012. Very Nice! I know the guy that manages the resort (South African) goes out on his boat to catch for the restaurant. Maybe a place to consider...

Re: Mozambiqiue - where to go?
Hi Dave
Recently went to Inhambane and it was....BEAUTIFUL! We stayed in a self catering spot called Casas Delight. There are a few operators that does boat fishing close by, within 1km from Casas. About 2km's down the beach towards Tofu is Inhambane lighthouse. The shore fishing is amazing. There is a massive drop of reef that stretches about 40m into the sea. You can easily walk out on it, it's flat and there is no jagged rocks that could hurt. Get to the edge and you can either drop shot or cast behind the surf. I myself caught 2 GT's of around 9-11kg on the long rod. As for drop, eish, too many to mention. I was on every 5 minutes, from Garrick to Pompano, it was a blast.
The Mrs. can roast in the sun nearby where you are fishing and there is a row of trees with nice shade right at the foot of the dune where the lighthouse is should the tropical sun get too hot for her.

Personally I have find the most beautiful place in Mozambique is Vilanculos anywhere on the coast there should be GTG. I have been all the way up to Beira and all the way down to Ponta but Vilanculos remains tops.

Re: Mozambiqiue - where to go?
The entire area from Xai-xai to inhambane is really awesome. Just bear a few thing in mind; a few of the places get really crowded in season such as Guinjata bay and Barra.
My favorite place in that area is Zavora as the fishing is suberb (shore and boat) and its pretty quiet even in peak season.
