Re: Help. What chrono?
I am quite happy with my shooting chrony F1. It's not an item that will be used every day, so I decided on the "cheap" one.
Mine is about 7 years old and still going strong.

Re: Help. What chrono?
To necro an old thread (Rather than start a new one), I phoned Shooting Stuff and the CED M2 is now over R3k (I was too gob-smacked to remember the hundreds part).
Have any decent alternatives come onto the market in the last year or so, or is there somewhere the CED M2 could be had for cheaper?

Re: Help. What chrono?
Ashley... contact Dave Sheer. I got mine there about a year ago.
Perhaps better pricing there.

Re: Help. What chrono?
Done, thanks! R2,400. Not quite as nice as the R1,900 you got it at, but I guess the exchange rate could reasonably be blamed. ;)

Re: Help. What chrono?
Good day folks,
I'm looking for product recommendations as a 1st-time buyer, for rifle and pistol load development (300BLK & 9mmP)
What I have come across thusfar:
CED M2 (Shooting Stuff)
Prochronopal (Hailstorm)
Shooting Chrony (Dave Sheer)
Is the CED M2 still considered to be the way to go?
Are there any newer / other / "better" chronographs available here in SA now?

Re: Help. What chrono?
I am happy with my Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph Premium Kit no complaints here. Also like the Caldwell app with my iPad or iPhone. (Imported for R2 100). Love the infrared light kit it comes with for indoors chrono. (Included in the kit, as an add-on about $50)

(Make sure to select Priority Mail Express with checkout a bit more but traceable to your post office.)
(Mine took 10 days total)
(Selling for R4 000 in South Africa)
