Given the availability of second hand 375H&H I would suggest that a lot of people is looking for 375 and most probably the most sought after caliber at this point in time. You can shoot everything with, but if you don’t need to hunt large game get something with recoil you can handle and if that is a 375 go for it! A PH mentioned to me one day “I’ll rather take someone buff hunting with a 375H&H which can make a good shot, then someone worrying about his 600NE recoil”. Rifle doesn’t make the hunter, a hunter makes a rifle.

Dave, A 7x 64 is basically and ballitically identical to a 270. not a 243. they are quite different in their utility and applications, with a lot a crossover of course.

I went back to my first post and I have no idea why I compared the 7x64 to a 243 - typing error. It is nothing like a 243. I meant to write 270. The 30-06, 270 and 7x64 are all much of a muchness when you break it all down. Each to his own but mine is a 270 until I get my 7mm

.338 SABI. Only drawback is availability of ammo. Planning to reload soon. Actually a bushveld calibre but nice long range capability with the 200 grainers. For springbuck I still want to try 180gr. No data available on the 180gr but should be in the vacinity of 3000fps
