Hi guys,
I was in the market for a CZ Duty, but I can get a SP2022 for R6400 and I'm seriously considering it. I've now read all there is on this forum concerning the SP2022 and found some members had problems with it. I've only seen this FA and read the reviews on the internet, which for the most part are very positive.
My problem is that I live in the far North and the gun shops here aren't as well stocked, so sometimes they have to order the weapon and then expect you to buy it(I asked the salesman if I'm allowed to shoot it before buying and didn't get the answer I wanted)
This is the first FA I won't get for free, so I've never been through this process before.
My questions are: Should I insist on testing the pistol(I believe so)
How many rounds do they usually allow a person to shoot?
Should I be able to detect a manufacturers defect such as FTF or FTE from the get go?
Sorry if I sound a bit paranoid, but I've had some bad luck recently with new purchases and customer service in my town is usually very poor(never had problems with this gun shop)
Any replies will be appreciated.

Goose - IMHO, You really can't expect any gunshop to order you a firearm and to let you test fire it before buying it. By test firing it you are making it 2nd hand by default, and then you might decide you don't want it.
Would you really want to buy, and pay full, new, retail price for any firearm that somebody else had "tested" before?
If you really have to test fire it before deciding, drive to one of the Gunshops/Ranges that have a Sig as a rental and test it there. You are unlikely to identify any serious problems in firing a mag or two, unless the gun is really crap, which SIG or any of the other worthwhile brands are not. Otherwise you can always ask around your local range to hear if anybody owns one, and would be willing to let you put a couple of factory rounds through it. Maybe somebody from the forums might be able to help.

I have shot my brother I laws one and it it a very nice gun, finding holsters are a bit of a problem.

Any establishment stock versa carry holsters? I know they stock a concealed carry holster for the sp2022 and various other firearms
