Western Cape 9x19 ammo shortage 2013 Q1

Thought I will post the question here first.

Has the 9mm x19 NATO range ammo shortage in the Western Cape been sorted out yet?

Still impossible to find anything but PMP.

It's not just in the WC. Ammo that arrives here (SD ammo now, Gauteng) are sold out in hours. MRST, who had the previous shipment at great prices, sold out all their stock before it was even on the shelves. Most other shops reported 3~4 hours until sold out. It's insane.

Between ZAR3,40 and ZAR3.90 per 9x19 round now. So a practice day at the range sets one back around ZAR800 in no time these days.

So to put that in perspective. For every 7-10 practice days I can buy a new pistol. :-D

Man... What ammo did you buy? Winchester White Box? Reloads come in at about R1,50 per round, max. It's less than half the price!Anyway, I think any shooter will soon realize when they start actively shooting that the cost of shooting far exceeds the cost of the firearm in the first place...

No "factory reloads" available in CT that I'm aware of. Also never seen WWB... ever... S&B is basically the only range ammo we get in the shops.
