SAPS rising to the occasion!

Some good news on a Saturday.

I believe the SAPS office her in George needs a feather in their cap today.

I had a phonecall from a buddy bout half an hour ago. He was stuck on Montague pass with his broken down mountainbike. Unable to get it fixed he phoned me for help.

Pleasure, only thing is I'm stuack at home without wheels. After phoning all the troops and getting no answers I phoned the local Fire Dept to see if they could help, they were very helpful. But all their vehicles are busy with safety for a race in town. But the officer said hell phone me back to see if they can make a plan, he returned call and said the guys can't get out, try the police.

"Student Konstabel Botha" answered the phone and jumped into action and said sure they will help. Took his number and location.

He phoned just now saying another cyclist helped him and he is making his way back. So I cancelled the call with SAPS.

But well done to the boys in blue for being willing to help!! Perks of a small town!
