Doesnt sound like hunting when you can walk up to the animal and shoot it?
Is this for meat, or just for the fun of killing without reason?

Walk and stalk. You want to think about this for a while? Oh no, I see, you're a bakkie hunter.

Giraffe makes excellent MacD patties. I would guess for meat.

Do you or your folks kill for fun, without reason?

Here we go again. Obviously you haven't hunted a Giraffe before. You can hunt a Giraffe by just walking up to it and blasting it - in a game reserve. But then again so can any game species - in a game reserve. You see the difference comes in when you don't hunt in a game reserve. A Giraffe becomes a very difficult animal to hunt. It can see you coming from a mile away, has a good sense of hearing and can gallop in its characteristic gait for miles on end, almost ensuring that enough distance has been put between you and it so that failure of the hunt is guaranteed.
