Does the duty come factory fitted with the safety or with the decocker?
    I bought a duty 9mm on friday..
I would prefer to use the decocker and carry loaded with hammer down.
As far as manualy decocking the duty by hand: some say it is dangerous. But would the firing pin safety/guard not prevent an AD?

You've pulled the trigger so the firing pin safety is disengaged as far as I understand it. I decock manually every time is shoot, it can be done safely IMPO.

This is a thread started this month.

One of the replies suggest that the pin block only disengages with the trigger pull. So if you pull the trigger and hold the hammer and let go of the trigger, should reengage the pin block to safely drop down the hammer. I havent tried it so dont know but its solid in theory
