Parralax effect
Hi. I was looking for a scope for my Brno .22. I have a Vortex scope on my 308 already so decided on the Diamondback 2x7by 35 Rimfire for my .22. I ordered it from a local dealer and made it very clear that it is for my .22 He picked it up from the agents today. When I inspected it I noticed the word RIMFIRE missing on the box. At home tonight I checked on the Vortex website you get 2 models, 1 being the rimfire with parralax set at 50m and the other one( which I got) with parralax set at 100m. I am sure the dealer will swop it for me but if the agents dont have stock of the rimfire model will it really make such a difference. I dont shoot past 100m at targets and tins and keep pest control under 75m. It's a lovely scope and very compact. Any expert opinions?

Re: Parralax effect
With a good scope with good glass you should not really notice the difference in paralax.
Best bet is to shoot it at 25m-75m and test it
If your not 100% happy with the scope return it for what you want. You paid for it and if you don't like it it will always bother you
If you decide to keep it you could always reset the paralx yourself but that would void your warranty
