Nah, I just try try to get as much water as possible out. Rinsing the acidic soap mixture out is important though.

I rinse my pins well and then drop them in two plastic buckets I use as part of my seperating process and leave them in the sun with my cases so they get dryer I am not too bothered if they don't get 100% dry I just don't leave them wet... If that makes sence

    Default Drum speed calculator

Going to necro this thread, since it's so helpful and deserves to be brought back to life...

I , like many others, was struggling to calculate all the different rotational speeds for a drum. So I have created an easy to use EXCEL spreadsheet, using a calculation I found online somewhere. You enter known variables like motor rpm, motor pulley dia, etc and the spreadsheet will calculate your DRUM RPM. You can play around with variables until your desired drum speed (no load) is reached.

Here is the photo of what needs to be done. The motor is a 220V motor. You will see that 2 wires (red and black) go into the control board, and two wires (both yellow) come out of the board. All you need to do is join the wires that come in with those that go to the motor and you are done :-). Get a digital timer or something like that so that it can be switched on and left until it is done a few hours later :-).

Here is the picture. If there are any questions, please feel free to let me know :-). Thanks for reminding me Samizat45.

correct. it turns too slowly and you have to modify it to prevent leakage etc.

I disconnected the timer and placed it on a plank on a bucket for incase the lid pops open (therefore avoiding a bunch of brass and SS pins on my garage floor). Has only happened twice so far, so I limit the amount of brass I tumble, so far for the price this is pretty good solution for me.

Edit: And I've been using this method for about 2 years.
