Man dies after double shooting in Camberwell

A 23-year-man has died after he was shot in the head in south London.

He was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday but died several hours later. Police say they know his identity but are awaiting formal identification.

Another man is in hospital after he was shot in the ankle however his condition is not believed to be serious.

The shooting happened just before 05:00 BST on Southwell Road, Camberwell. No arrests have been made.

The U.K has been flooded with weapons from eastern europe. A few years ago I was walking down old Kings Road near Fulham at around 11pm and heard a automatic rifle go off, around 6 shots were in auto with a pause and then again a half dozen or so. Within seconds police sirens could be heard coming from multiple directions. Nothing was mentioned about it on the news or any of the radio stations.

Looming spending cuts across the board haven't been implemented yet. The borders is as pourous as a syphilitic cerebellum already, rising unemployment creating a demand for more effective weaponry with which to perpetrate crime and an ineffective justice system that doesn't serve as a deterrent. IPS, i honestly believe you're telling it as it should be told. The wheel has been turning and shortly the full 360 degrees, and very soon the bubble will pop! As you quite rightly stated "ineffective justice system" is massively to blame, the crime in the UK is spiraling out of control and with the foreigners (particularly from the eastern block and ex african colonies) its just a matter of time before it gets majorly out of control. The bobbies are going to have a real tough time containing crime as I'm sure they are already experiencing, and i can only see the future of the UK reverting back to the old ways of punishment, capital and corporal. If anything there's going to be a lot more human rights control and a lot less gun control.
