Harm slightly off the topic but where do you source your leather from?

i bought my leather and leather tools from Woodheads in Pinetown, but they're expensive so i'm looking for another source.
but they have different thicknesses, types, in full hides

    Harm,

what prevents the blade from cutting through the stitching of the sheath as you continuously draw and sheath the blade?

Harm: Do you make the knives yourself?

By pure coincidence, a friend asked me this morning to get a price on one for him.

Skurk777,my leather sheaths all are made with a welt which protects the stitches.the sheaths are also slightly oversize so this is added protection.
MyLani i have responded to your pm.but seeing your post i must add - my Tracer is a smaller, edc, version of the WSK.i make Tracer XL,which is similar in size to the WSK.
the pic below [owner's pic] is of a set i did a couple months back of both sizes.
i do make the knives myself.

I aplogise for my ignorance. What is a welt and what is it made of? I have a hunting knife that I need to make a sheath for as the original one fell apart.

    google would have helped hpy194
the welt is a piece or multiple pieces of leather about 10 mm wide [that's what i use] and almost the thickness of the blade cut to the profile of the sheath [basically a wide outline of the sheath].this goes between the 2 halves of the sheath.
