    Default Gaiter's

Where can I buy a decent pair of gators for hunting?

Or if I had to make a pair, what would be the ideal material?

A 'gator is a big thing like a crocodile that bites. A gaiter is a thing you put around your lower legs to keep snow, burs and whatever else out your socks. I don't know where you can buy a 'gator for hunting (maybe it retrieves like a gun dog?) but you can get gaiters from the big Cape Union Mart stores like at Bedfordview. ;-)

Ok, ok that is the price you pay for typing when you are meant to be putting your daughter to sleep

I did indeed mean gaiters. I will look at the stores mentioned.

    Thanks

I have these ones, not the leather. They work well.

I got a pair for hiking from Cape Union Mart, the large ones that end just below the knee (unless you're really short). If walking through bush is walking through bush, perhaps they would suit you're needs too.

S&O in Stellenbosh have them. I saw long ones and short ones a week ago. Maybe the PTA branch also has in stock. I had them in my hands and was considdering buying a pair but then a spotting scope distracted me.
