.22 ammo availability
Hi all
What .22 high velocity ammo is available in SA and can someone give an indicayion of prices and if the ammo is decent or not?

Geoff at Southern Arms in Wynberg has CCI Velocitors in stock, they are MEAN. Very high velocity HP .22L

Jhb or ECape. I remember the CCi Stingers, used to use them and found them better than the SP Blitzers! Eley also had the Scorpion which was good!

For the price the Blitzers were excellent. Only a little bit less accurate than Swartklip HV, but not so much that you would miss your target.
I miss them :(

As far as I know the CCI Velocitors are an upgraded version of the CCI Stinger, although both are still manufactured.
As fas as I know, Geoff @ Southern Arms is the only person with stock of the CCI Velocitors, so I would jump on them ASAP.

Thanks BrendanK. Appreciate the support. We also have a small number of Stingers available, but BrendanK is correct about the Velocitors. They are similar to the Stingers, just higher velocities...
No other high vel .22 ammo available, although I would give Camdix a call before making up my mind.

The Velocitor is the fastest 40gr load available. Around 1450fps. The stinger does over 1600fps but uses a 32gr bullet.
