I also use the standard plastic brush ,and using slip2000 copper cutter it cleans fine, I don't see a need for a copper brush yet. Interestingly enough ,on the bottle it does state " After patch comes out clean,it is very important to run a mop or patch with slip2000 Lubricant on it to completely recoat bores with lubricant protection". Toxxyc,I just put through a patch with a drop of Eezox, you need very little and it dries too.

It's in my cleaning manual too. I'll try some Eezox next time. I fell in love with that stuff!

Literally only around 400 rounds had gone through my gun and I could see the build up in the barrel, once I was done it was nice and shiny though! That whole firing pin thing makes me uncomfortable, think I need to watch that video again ha ha.

    Where you based?

Would be happy to show you how (will use mine as demo)... if you would like some hands-on confidence building.

I stay in Northriding. I need to buy more cleaning stuff anyways so will pop into the gun shop and ask them a few questions when there as well.

    Fixed.

Just the other day I heard a reputable gunshop's owner tell a customer that he can't buy a pistol before he has his competency card from the SAPS with him. I just shut up and sniggered.

    Very...

Happens in car dealerships as well... Hi-Fi corp, Incredible Connection... seems to be a trend everywhere.
