Commuters end up in violent crime.

What was supposed to be just another mediocre ride home for commuters turned into a nightmare on Tuesday 30 April.

Metrobus 412 was hijacked at 6.15pm on the above date. Approximately eight suspects boarded a Metrobus in Newlands and started demanding cell phones, jewellery and cash.
All eight were armed and started to exercise violent behaviour by assaulting passengers and stabbing a lady commuter twice.
They held the female bus driver at ransom and forced her to the N1 where they got off.
According to Kaylen Morris who was on the bus, "I prayed not to fall victim of the suspects. The suspect’s then disappeared into the bushes to an undisclosed location".
According to Captain Lydia Dikolomela of the Florida SAPS a docket was opened at the Roodepoort police station but was transferred to the Sophiatown branch. The Suspects are still at large and the community is warned to be extra vigilant.
Morris told the Record that he has to go for counselling due to the traumatising nature of the incident.

This is a bit crappy to say the least. Its not safe to travel on public transport and we will soon be getting "raped" by JHB tolls?

Heard a story about armed thugs doing this on trains here in CPT.

It's quite ironic that the lower income brackets are the hardest hit by crime and yet they keep on voting for the ANC that not only insist on keeping FAs out of the hands of everyday Joe, but also does little about crime.
