    Who saw tonights news?

    Joburg Metro Police striked to day because....get this...they have to work LESS hours!!!! Same pay and benefits.


    They sat outside headquaters in uniform and armed with their bikes etc.

    This breaks my brain

    Heard it on the radio.

    Apparently the strikers are under the impression that they will forego certain allowances and such with the new shift system. Of course management denies that this is the case...

    Well of course I would go on strike if I have to work less hours for the same pay. I mean, I have to sit at home and waste my own time not the council's time. And the electricity I must use to make all that extra coffee at home. Come on be fair, its my right to waste other peoples resources, while been paid top do so, by doing nothing at work. It's unfair that it must cost me for working less.

    But then on the other hand, maybe these are the few conscientious people who feel that by working shorter hours they will be depriving the public of the services.

    Hmmmmm, where did I leave that "special tobacco" again???
