Re: Only in South Africa
OK, thanks. I'm sitting here editing SABC news and I did not see anything about that. Not completely unexpected.

Heard it on the radio.
Apparently the strikers are under the impression that they will forego certain allowances and such with the new shift system. Of course management denies that this is the case...Be ready for anything, and if his head is not at least two meters away from the body, do not 'assume' he is dead and out of the fight. - Ikor

Re: Only in South Africa
Well of course I would go on strike if I have to work less hours for the same pay. I mean, I have to sit at home and waste my own time not the council's time. And the electricity I must use to make all that extra coffee at home. Come on be fair, its my right to waste other peoples resources, while been paid top do so, by doing nothing at work. It's unfair that it must cost me for working less.
But then on the other hand, maybe these are the few conscientious people who feel that by working shorter hours they will be depriving the public of the services.
Hmmmmm, where did I leave that "special tobacco" again???
