Firearms and Kruger Feedback
As promised some feedback.
There are signs all over the place saying that you must report your FA at the gate.
Aside from that we got asked as well, iirc it is on the docs you sign at the gate.
Its a plain canvas bag with a metal crimp. Yes you can open it if you need.
At one gate they didn't have bags so they sealed it in my dad own bag.
However, if you are thinking about not declaring it consider they do random searches at the gates. I saw it twice.
Max speed is 50km/h and no booze allowed for day visitors, a good thing I believe.
Overall staff are very friendly.
Cool.

Thanks for the feedback, a question regarding the random searches, do you mean checking of the vehicle and luggage or scanning people as well?

Re: Firearms and Kruger Feedback
Any idea on the penalties for (a) not disclosing EDC and (b) removing EDC from sealed bag, and (c) Is there any fee for this service/procedure? Thanks.

Re: Firearms and Kruger Feedback
I have seen them only checking the vehicles Antillion.
I have no idea about the penalties if caught out. But no extra fee to seal the FA. I cannot think they will give you trouble if you really need it and open the bag.
Something new I noticed is "law enforcement" on the roads in Kruger. Marked Corollas patrolling. So no driving like a hooligan.
But, Ill tell you okes one thing. Kruger has not lost any of its magic. I really hope and pray Mabunda and his buddies don't screw it up.
If you have never been here, make a plan. Forget overseas or the sea for once and come here on holiday. We are very fortunate to have this in our backyards.

Re: Firearms and Kruger Feedback
Thanks for updating us kreefstert... I'm going to KNP quite soon... You don't per chance have a pic of the "plain canvass bag with metal crimp" ? Provided of course that you are happy to post the pic here...
Do you think its "possible" to shove gun + canvas bag back into my holster ? Less than ideal I know, but I'm rather uncomfortable with off-body carry...

Re: Firearms and Kruger Feedback
From what I can remember (this is going back to the early 90's) it looked like a square bank bag. Won't go back in holster. Way to bulky
