I also had this outlook for a long time.

    I was wrong.

What if I told you, that you could like both? Well, there is a novel thought.

Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:
But I know one thing that never dies,
the glory of the great dead.

Most 40 kg dogs can safely be petted by most people.

A 40 kg cat is bound to put someone in hospital or worse...just saying.

True. But a 40kg cat is likely to attack indiscriminately. That's if it can be bothered at all to begin with.

Problem is the 40/50/60kg cat turns into a 120kg tiger in a few years.

At least my dog thinks I'm funny. The corgi has heard this one before.

Love both cats and dogs and have had the pleasure to have owned exceptional examples of both. At one time I had a Doberman who accepted me as the boss and treated the rest of the household with disdain. He went as far as casually strolling past my wife, looked her over and then urinated on her feet. I thought it was hilarious, wife not so much.

At the moment we have male cat that I picked up as a wild kitten. The other two cats in the house are both female and much older than him. After about four months of putting up with their nonsense he had enough and ripped into the two (no blood though). He now rules the roost. To this day he will casually swat the more uppitty of the two females just to keep her in check. Otherwise he is the most docile and friendly cat I have ever seen.

Pic of my 4 year old pup, what a mission, he seems to be very camera shy and was not impressed with us trying to take pics.

The choke chain is 70cm long
