Default Ever saved a life your own life or used your FA in a defensive situation?

I don't know if it's appropriate for an online forum. If it is or if there are a similar thread please remove this thread mods.

Have you ever saved another humans life or your own or ever used your FA/baton/knife/pepper spray/fighting skills/tazer in a defensive (or offensive) situation? Care to share?
I thought it might be interesting and educational to read some real life scenarios.

Does it count that I floored a guy beating his wife in the OK. Was in Matric and this was a lesson in how messed up some people really are...

Worst part is when you get a big uitkak or semi beating from the wife even though you were trying to help her!
