Re: .303 accuracy improvement
I've been trying to do research in finding which weight to use for increased accuracy in bushveld (up to 150m max) hunting.
Now there seems to be 2 groups. Some say 215, and others say 174. One article stated the twist rate in the barrel was optimized for the specific weight.
The 215gr was 1st. So reason stands that 215's would or should work better on the MK 1, and 2.
Then Lee Enfield adopted the 174gr in 1910 in order to reach 2400fps. Would it then be safe to assume that owners of MK3 and 4 should rather stick with the 174?

Thanx Crafty. A few good tips there. Only thing that bothers me is that he doesn't bother to make the 'test bullet' safe. Kinetic hammers are abundant Dude ! Anyway, thanx for the link.

Ok, so just had the 303 on the range, using Remington 180's
Not to bad i think.
25m though with a scope that does not want to focus.

Re: .303 accuracy improvement
Optics are so important on a .303 in my opinion. I also have a crappy grey NS scope on my .303 which I got with the rifle when I bought it. I don't have the finances at the moment to invest in a good scope, maybe next month or so I'll pop a VX 2 on my 'baby'
