Douglasdale Police arrest three suspects and recover two firearms

This afternoon July 16, 2013 armed suspects held up the Telkom store in Fourways Crossing, they stole an undisclosed amount of cellphones. They walked outside and started loading the goods into a vehicle.
A security officer noticed the activity and pushed the panic button. He saw one of the suspects walking away; he tackled him down and apprehended him. The suspect was in possession of a firearm. Douglasdale Police responded within a few minutes and arrested the suspect.
Two other suspects were identified on William Nicol outside Fourways Crossing, as police approached them, the suspects opened fire. Police fired back, shooting one suspect in the hand. They managed to arrest both suspects and recovered two firearms.
