    Ya know, humans managed for millenia before we had supermarkets and industrialised food production. Some poor japanese soldier only came out of the jungle a couple of years ago thinking WWII was still on, had survived on his own all this time.

    Onoda died jan 2014 ; he came out of the jungle in 1974 , 30 years after the war. There were 4 of them initially.
