    Default Sodwana Fishing Charters

Can anyone help with referrals regarding fishing charters? I'm planning to do a trip in March 2014, but do not know any of the boats. Thanks and regards

We used Seevarkie in December and they were fantastic! Wasn't the best day out fishing as there was a lot of bait fish in the water, but they made every effort to ensure we caught fish.

Try Dawie Oertel of Marine skippers Academy, I know he has a very sought after Deep Sea fishing programme and will tell you where to go.

You'll have to look up his number in the back of the tight lines magazine.

    Good luck !!

Also try Vis-agie. Coming back to shore with a blackflag up, is on my bucketlist.

I doubt if Marlin is on Herman's list. Just the 'normal' fish I suppose. On a the few occasions I went deep sea fishing at Sodwana, we had moderate success. Some of the better fish that came out was Dorado,Wahoo and Cuda. In 2006 my B.I.L's F.I.L caught a very nice Sail fish. What made it special that he was using light tackle fishing for bait fish from the boat chaos once that 'kite' took of but he landed it after a while. Fishing from the shore at Sodwana is a waist of time IMHO. Except at night where the boats launch.
