Tactical holster for daily carry.
Good day people:
I was wondering if some one could tell me what the legal consequences if any are of a civilian using one of the tactical holster as a daily strap on option.

Re: Tactical holster for daily carry.
What do you mean tactical holster?
Will it be covered as required by the FCA?

Re: Tactical holster for daily carry.
Sounds to me like he's referring to a leg holster?
No, those aren't allowed.... unless of course you wear your jersey on your leg in such a way that the holster and pistol are both covered ;)

Re: Tactical holster for daily carry.
Apparently you can do this only if you work for an "Official Institution" (i.e. any version of law enforcement I assume). I am not sure if that means you can carry your own firearm like such, or if they refer to a firearms issued to you by the institution?
"78 Carrying of handgun by employee of Official Institution in holster
A holster contemplated in section 98(5) (a) of the Act must conform to the following
requirements when the employee of the Official Institution is on duty and performs official
duties:
(a) In uniform, the firearm must be carried in a holster that is worn by or attached to his or her
person and the make must be such that a safety-clip to lock in the firearm must be provided and
such a holster may be exposed;
(b) in mufti, the firearm must be carried in a holster that is worn by or attached to his or her
person and the make must be such that a safety-clip to lock in the firearm must be provided and
such a holster must be concealed."

Re: Tactical holster for daily carry.
Personally I am very keen on a tactical leg holster for EDC in the above mentioned type scenario. All kinds of comfortable...

Oh boy, this topic again. There are really no benefits by exposing your firearm to the world. Only makes you a target and then you will also loose the advantage of surprise. Go read the sticky “ Held up”.
