Re: EDC fixed blade what's the best
Completely depends. Job wise.
I completely get the it makes me feel warm and fuzzy so I want it.
I don't use that logic when buying anymore, but I get it.
I played with the knife you mentioned and was totally un impressed.
Would rather spend the dosh on a swamprat, busse, ESEE or becker for the purpose of that blade.
Folders are nice because they carry easier and you can hide them. Apart from that a fix blade is best.MOLON LABE

Re: EDC fixed blade what's the best
I am considering a cold steel hide out as an EDC neck knife. Any opinions or experience with this one?

The Tracker is not the knife from "the hunted".tom brown copyrighted "tracker" after the movie, apparently he was a technical consultant (not for the knife fighting and unarmed stuff, that was atienza kali iirc, can't remember who it was from that system).
The knife from the movie is based on dave beck's WSK (wilderness survival knife).
Dave beck has mentioned this in a thread on bladeforums, including the history of the wsk and the tracker.
I have that info on a word doc, iirc, email me and I'll forward it.

It was Sayoc kali. The DVD's "extra features" are well worth the watch ;)
