Default FN Five-Seven definitely not available

I just got this email from FN:

    Hello Sir,

We thank you for your interest and apologize for the long reaction time.
We hereby confirm the rumor : outside the USA, FN Herstal is not legally authorized to deal with private individuals as our customers are exclusively armed forces, polices agencies and OEM.
Therefore we apologize but we must decline your request.
    Regards
    Stéphane Semmeling

I'm sure you could import one through a store that sell them in the us via say someone like MRST.

SAPShas classified it as something funny. It is pretty much unobtanium, even through dealers. Think it is because of armour piercing rounds.

It may well be a blessing in disguise. It's a strange pistol: not really suited for civvie EDC, not suited for sport, not suited for plinking. Strange exotic calibre. Sure it's cool, but it's probably a bit like owning a concept car.

Cut your emotional losses, and maybe spend the money you saved for the FiveseveN on something cool and practical

I got an idea, can we not try get a couple of orders together and request a dealer to attempt an order! They did say they don't deal with private people, they said nothing about dealers.

I'll go first: Book me down for one!

I would also be interested. I am sure it would qualify for my Service side arms theme.

Exactly, would fit into one of my theme's as well and be a nice addition to the collection.
