Agreed. We treat the symptoms, not the snake. Can you imagine walking into the ER carrying the snake in a bag? Should be fun

The analogy I use is the pedestrian accident. A guy gets hit by a car, we don't ask him whether it was a Mazda or a Toyota, whether it was a blue car or a red car. We just treat the injuries

Yup. Find it and fix it. Sometimes simple works.

Yes could be fun plus you now have the potential of two people being bitten if someone tries to catch or kill the snake.

Saw some pics of some brown house snake bites on the course one was particularly bad really tore up the hand and fingers needed a huge amount of stitches not a nice bite at all.

We had one in the class that was pretty keen on biting and the handler had a lot of respect for that house snake .

I am building up the courage to do the advanced handling course but its taking a long time !!!

You get to do tubing, necking and tailing with the snakes and that includes the black mamba and cape cobra.

I am not really too concerned for the cape cobra but the mamba really really scares me.

I am sure you wil enjoy good luck.Personally i prefer mambas to the big cobras they are freakin strong and heavy complicating things.

Had a rather nice adult male Boomslang (Black / Yellow) slither though our property this afternoon.
Gave the staff a lot of excitement.

Damn they can move fast when they want to... the snake that is.

I think the black/yellow Boomslang is one of the most stunning looking snakes.

They used to have a beautiful one in the little reptile park at Mabula not sure if its still there as havn't been there for a while.

Yes they are really quick and agile they love to come back up the tongs towards you
