I love South Africa!

So this morning I'm sent on an errand to go and organise some Sunday lunches.

I get outside and its the most beautiful day in the Garden Route.

The mountain is a deep shade of green and you can see the waterfalls after the rain. There is not a cloud in sight anywhere. One half of the girls are in tiny shorts and strappy tops, the other half in sundresses. Once I'm home I'm going to go sit outside with my action novel and something cold and get some sun on my bierpens.

Then I realise, sometimes we need to shutup and be thankful for our beautiful country. It might not be perfect but hulle almal se moer, I belong here!

I really hope that those who left to find greener pastures in Canada, Aus or the UK found what they are looking for. Over there, their dresses might be just as short, and their beer also cold but there will always be something missing. It will never be truly home.

Dammit I love SA!

And you are right. The Garden route is especially beautiful today. Pity I am stuck at work, but look forward to a cold one in the pool later overlooking the mountain.

It is always good to see something positive online / in the news as opposed to the usual...

Thanks for the breath of fresh air and the reminder that this country is worth fighting for.

I have to agree with Kreefstert.
Even here in Gauteng there are gems.

I wouldnt want to live anywhere else. (Western cape maybe. Hehe)

I also love this country and will never leave. Doesnt mean everything is hunkydory though or that I should shut up and just accept it. But yes there is allways good and bad going around. Helps to ignore the bad once in A while and pretend its not there.
