243Win Howa Varminter

Hi all

I have just recently purchased myself a 243Win Howa Varminter with bull barrel and Boyds nutmeg thumbhole stock which I am planning on using for varmint & small game hunting.

I am also planning on fitting a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44 with Dead hold BDC on it.

What do you think of the combination.

What bullets would you recommend for my application. I will be reloading for the rifle

What do you all think of the Frontier Spartan bullets

When hunting I use monos. The Spartan 85gr is a very good bullet - accuracy and performance are tops. I will try and get you in touch with someone who use his Howa 243 for varminting and he might be able to give you some tips. I will PM you his info if he agrees to help.
