Cape Town - The e-toll system in Gautens is going live on December 3, Transport Minister Dipuo Peters announced on Wednesday.
“We want to see that South Africa also has world class roads,” she said at a media briefing.
According to Nazir Alli, CEO of Sanral, “we do not want to encourage further lawlessness in our country”.

He said those who do not comply with paying toll fees will be prosecuted in the normal way.

Is this not why we pay taxes on petrol and diessel to the National Road Fund? Or am I wrong?
And what about the fact that 80% of the e-toll money is leaving the country?
