Re: MRE's
APacks are what we use. They will last 8 to 10 years if you store them is a cool, dark place.
Get them with heater packs if you can. That way you can heat your APack by using a little water. The heater pack will get the food
very hot.
In the big ice storm last week one of our neighbors with 6 children ran short of food. Even if they could get to the store the shelves were
empty. WE gave them 2 cases of APacks.
Now that everything is thawed out, they paid us back with 4 cases. I don't think they will make that mistake again. He ordered 24 cases.
Seriously, when we travel somewhere I put 2 cases in the 4x4.
Never get caught with no food.

Re: MRE's
The Stock we have was manufactured at the end of December 2011. The manufacturer states that subject to storage conditions the meals will be good for up to 60 months. So, these meals actually have a potential shelf life to December 2016. I was being overly cautious when I stated end of 2015 yesterday.

Spaghetti and meat sauce, my favourite for 3 years!
The crackers clog u up real fast but high in calories, and will keep you ticking longer( if you ever find yourself in that situation)
