Default Help to correct your grip

    Hi all,

I've been having some trouble with dropping shots low and to the left. I don't have a shooting buddy (poor me) to help spot the error of my ways to I had to resort to the web for assistance.

Stumbled upon this target that aims to help point out where the issue could possibly lie. Thought I'd share it - might be helpful to others here on GS land.

I would wager you are anticipating the recoil and pushing down beforehand.
do yourself a favour as a test.... LET THE PISTOL RECOIL. let it ride into the air, dont resist it.
and as always: slooooooooooooow squeeze! dont jerk the trigger trying to anticipate when it's going to break. baby steps.

if you continually hit better then, then you have your answer.

Thanks (for taking the post seriously). Will watch myself a lot closer at the next range session.

What Mr T's helpful pictures are trying to explain, is that it unfortunately isn't as simple as your initial picture makes it out to be. Lian is a kind soul who thoughtfully helped out (dammit Lian!), the rest of us are dogs who bay at the sight of pictures we've seen before which oversimply what gets covered in proper training courses (hint hint) :)
