Introducing African Long Range Hunters Association
Good evening Gunsite.
First of all, I want to say a big thank you to Frank for creating this section for ALRHA on Gunsite.
African Long Range Hunters started out in early 2013 as an internet forum for like minded people sharing the same passion and dedication to the art of long range hunting. There was also a lot of people that were interested in long range hunting, but had no idea where to go or who to approach to learn more about this discipline. African Long Range Hunters forum brought together the experienced and novice long range hunters and provided a platform for these individuals to share their knowledge and experience.
From there, things quickly progressed and there was a perceived need from our members to establish an official dedicated body for long range hunting in South Africa. We held talks with Gauteng Hunters Federation (GHF) and CHASA, and decided to join the CHASA family as a special interest group under GHF. On 20 August 2013, the members of African Long Range Hunters came together and we had our first AGM where we also elected our executive committee. Thus, African Long Range Hunters Association (ALRHA) was born.
We have a big vision for the future. Now more than ever before, are all the components needed for precision long range hunting, available to anyone with an interest and a passion for this discipline and the interest is constantly growing. We aim to be the premier body and voice for long range hunters in South Africa. Thus, we invite any person with experience or an interest in what we do, to come and join us and grow ALRHA together. There will also be shoots and competitions held under simulated hunting conditions so be sure to check our website for these.
All official documents, including our constitution and membership application forms are available from our forum at www.africanlrhunters.co.za
Thank You
Kind Regards
Ludwig Meyer

Re: Introducing African Long Range Hunters Association
Welcome.
And congratulations.
Does this mean I now have someone who will endorse my inevitable Remington 2020 .308 purchase? I will mostly be hunting long range steel...
