Excellent and devastating - get an instruction video or dvd -like the one from Keating.

Does not require a lot of skill to make it work.

I'm not a big fan of serrations on SD knives. They hang up to easily in clothing.

I use a Spyderco Native to cut biltong, but a double-edged Gerber Applegate/Fairbain Combat Folder for serious social encounters.

A great knife, but a bit on the expensive side...

Not quite as intimidating looking, but a damn side cheaper is the Byrd Crossbill... I got one and I love it. It's now my EDC.

I carry the Syderco Native and have done for several years. I find it a neat flat package the is not easily detected and is quick to get into operation.
But practice with your SD folder and always carry it in the same position.

It was designed for self defence so I figure you can't go wrong with it. But its a very specific design, intended for one thing.

I say pair it with a good solid utility folder like a Pacific Salt or Endura and you can't go wrong.
