Musgrave RSA 7.62x51 Littleton
I'm looking for someone in SA who know their way around this rifle and who can do some smithing on it.
My uncle has an old RSA 7.62x51 and he wants a new stock, picatinny rail and new rings and a suppressor.
He's also looking for a bolt release handle thing(I'll post a pic now), it was lost and the bolt slides straight out because there's nothing stopping it.
He also wants to be able to use FN mags in it.
So, anyone knows of who deals with Musgraves RSA's and where I can get the mentioned parts?
Thanx

Re: Musgrave RSA 7.62x51 Littleton
The bolt release cum ejector pivot pin is quite fragile. Easy to break it by pulling bolt back too hard, or bumping recoilpad on ground too hard. Also the release spring can be snagged (and bent or broken) by a 2x4 on a jag, if not used with a bore guide. Parts should be available and affordable.
The mods seem reasonable, except for the FN mag conversion. A cut to accomodate the mag would weaken the solid bottom wall of the action. Rather sell the rifle and buy something with a magazine. There are plenty people out there, and on GS, who would appreciate that rifle as it is.

I agree with what you say, sell it and let some one who wants a single shot enjoy it.
