Re: IDPA Povisional Multi Gun Rules
Ja getting old really sucks !! One of these days I'll have to invest in a motorised wheelchair to get round the range hpy194
Might even have to get rid of ye olde 45 and shoot in some wussy class like ESP or SSP.
Luckily I don't need to get an optic sight for my rifle yet - I somehow manage to actually hit the target with iron sights and these old eyes confused0083

Re: IDPA Povisional Multi Gun Rules
Rules clarification please
I dunno if I'm reading the Rifle rules properly - the way I read it you can have 10 rounds ammo on your gun, but can't have any spare mags on your person ?
BTW: looks like the guys in the US aren't too impressed with the 10 round rule - hopefully they'll manage to get it increased.

Re: IDPA Povisional Multi Gun Rules
General Rifle Rules
10 round limit in mag, 11 rounds max in gun
No bi-pods
Gun mounted ammo is allowed, 10 rounds max per magazine
Redi-Mags, mag cinches, butt cuffs and like products are allowed
Extra ammo, 10 rounds max per magazine, may be carried on the body in pockets, carriers or in a bag or satchel. However the ammo and carriers can only be acquired after the start signal.
I think you can have extra mags on your person.

That means
you can have a loaded mag in the gun
you can have ammo on the gun
you can have loaded mags on the body in pockets or mag pouch
you can utilise a carrier or bag or satchel that is not on the body but then you may only pick it up after the start signal.

Re: IDPA Povisional Multi Gun Rules
KFP,
see my post above
"IDPA rules wil supercede the interim SADPA rules and IDPA rules may still be modified for SA specific requirements like .22 (for which, btw, IDPA has already been canvassed)."
