I think he will return. Just post the intro and job done - Big T covered that. I think the sarcasm was more aimed at Klasnikov's amour piercing comment.

Only if you add a little olive oil and a nice white wine sauce.

That makes no sense. The most practical solution for slippery bullets is to coat them with Spray and Cook.

On a more serious note: A friend has his LRN 230gn bullets Teflon coated by someone in ET (now Mpumalanga). But he does not shoot his 1911 much. Someone once said that those Teflon-coated lead bullets tend to convert your barrel to smooth bore. Apparently not the Teflon, but some abrasive impurities in the mix. But that's just a rumour AFAIK. More factual info would be most welcome.

Sorry to interrupt your fun. You may continue...

Highly unlikely. What in the "Teflon mix" would be able to degrade a steel barrel? Teflon reduces friction and can handle heat (see bauer pan ref). Besides, the lead is softer than the steel barrel, so the bullet should deform before the barrel does. My take, the Teflon will be off ur bullet long before bullet exits barrel. Just use Hoppe's number 9 to remove lead from barrel.
