GCDPC BUG Annual Championships
From Golden City Defense Pistol Club Saturday the 22 March 2014
Please note that this league is now downgraded to a club shoot and thus only 4 points will be awarded for attendance. The same 14 stages will still be presented, social braai will still be held and scores will be presented on the day – we will look in to getting medals or trophies made up to commemorate this day as we can’t award any SADPA medals.
IDPA rules do not allow us to use ‘not for competition’ as a division in a league and we have to downgrade this league to a club shoot or only allow true BUG firearms to compete. In an attempt to accommodate as many shooters as possible to experience a BUG shoot, we mistakenly opened it up to all and any competitors regardless of the firearm they have available to compete with and this is in direct contravention to the rules.
We have thus taken the decision that in order to grow BUG shooting among the average SADPA member, we would rather downgrade to a club shoot than exclude potential future BUG owners.
Please continue to show your support in growing the shooting sports by entering the inaugural GCDPC annual BUG championships as we will now name it.
So
Who is going to the inaugural GCDPC BUG Annual Championship, and what are you going to shoot.
I am goint to use my M&P9compact, this just fits into the BUG dimensions, The wife might be there too and she will then use her Shield.

Re: GCDPC BUG Annual Championships
I think I should attend this. Anyone from Pretoria/Centurion area going to the shoot? Would like to carpool if possible. I live in the Pretoria Moot area. No BUG unfortunately, so will use the G19.

Re: GCDPC BUG Annual Championships
Just for clarity, this shoot is open to all SADPA members who qualify, shooting ANY gun, not only BUG guns! Medals and Trophies will however only be presented to true BUG gun shooters.

Re: GCDPC BUG Annual Championships
In the spirit of the match if you do NOT own a BUG gun, but own a G19 and a G34 we would rather that you use the G19 to shoot this match.
As this is much closer to the BUG gun dimensions rather than an the G34.
This however remains the shooters choice.
