Thor scope base and rings

Reviving an old thread here...

I struggled to get Thor products from local dealers (price, stock etc) so I called Charmaine (012 - 8020294) and she was very helpful.
Sent her an email with all my details, got a mail with invoice back and banking details. Now waiting for goodies to arrive in post box.

Yes they are fairly available. Your gunshop can order from them as well if needed.

It seems like Thor have taken comments about quality and workmanship on board, I have always been impressed with the finish and found that the bluing on them is a much better quality that than (even) the Sako ones that I had on my Sako 270Win.

I recently changed the scope on the said .270Win and found that the Sako rings were ever so slightly (+-1mm) too low for the objective lens. You guessed it, I have put Thor's onto the rifle and am very happy with them. BTW anybody out there with a .303 with the k@k original trigger and not happy with it, the Thor trigger made a huge improvement to the shootability of my SMLE No4Mk1. Their K98 trigger seem to have become the standard in RSA. tup

Hi, I've had the thor trigger on my 303 for almost 10year, and still very happy! Just a question, is the pull weight adjustable? Would like to set the break point a bit "softer". Regards, leon

Does anyone have an updated phone number for Thor? I tried the 021 number posted above, but got a "number not valid" message.

I guess an email would be even better.

I'd like some info on what size mounts to use for my Nikon Monarch X 4-16x50 on a Sako (I removed the back sight so that it should mount pretty low). I also want to be able to remove the scope and remount easily for easier travel. According to the Sako Optilock measurements I could use their Xtra low rings although I am not sure what difference 2mm in height will really make (as opposed to the low rings) and of course the bolt has 2mm less room to work in. Not sure if Thor makes extra low or just low anyway.
