Grand Power Pistols
Just ran across this Slovakian (and, much like the Hs2000/XD, soon to be American) pistol. Rotating, barrel, short recoil operation. One unit has completed 110 000 rounds fired without mechanical failure. Its also doing well on the Euro competition circuits.

Re: Grand Power Pistols
Probably a nice pistol, and they will, no doubt, see some civilian sales in the states, but the traditional DA / SA trigger is dead for LE and dying a slow death for SD as well. The future for service and SD pistols is guns like the Glock, H&K LEM, Sig DAK, M&P and the XD (HS2000). JMO

Re: Grand Power Pistols
Well, they could still do a LEM / DAK type trigger, and the gun as it comes is capable of cocked and locked carry, but it does NOT have a decocker, which really is the kiss of death for a new model here. The CZs still sell to a few fans, but by and large a DA / SA without a decocker is a single action pistol for safe instruction's sake, and will not sell well at retail to Joe CCW or homeowner guy.
