Do you think the 500 lumens is too much for indoor cqb situations? I know that was always the "selling point" of the 200 lumens models, and something Travis Haley was adamant on, that one didn't need more lumens and that more lumens could be a liability eg: reflection off a white wall.

The OP says it's longer by a CR123, which is dimensional and not confirmation that it takes 2 of these.
So can it also take an 18650?

    Exactly what I was thinking.
Not too long ago, I had to investigate my downstairs TV switching itself on very loudly at 3am.
I have the current WML on my preferred HD gun.
When I switched it on after being in the dark since being woken up, I was blinded for a second or two and had adjust before proceeding.

Why or how the TV switched on remains a mystery.

Not really a deal-breaker, I already ordered the new one. I'd just like an informed opinion on the "less is more vs. more is more" view.

That's why you have to have two of these puppies - a 500 lumen on the one side of your rifle, and a 200 lumen on the other!

The original spec sheet says 2 x CR123. Not sure about an 18650.

What is this "too much" you talk of?

The lights your light switch activate in the room are brighter.

    No 18650.

    No filters.

    No beam adjustment.
