DURBAN - Three people have been arrested in connection with a string of business robberies in Sydenham, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Saturday.
On Thursday, members of the Inanda crime intelligence and K9 units arrested the three during an intensive operation in Sydenham, Captain Thulani Zwane said.
"The suspects started terrorising the business people of Sydenham as from last year. They allegedly entered the premises and robbed the staff and the customers of their belongings at gunpoint."
The alleged robbers, aged between 20 and 29, were linked to 11 business robberies and police were investigating whether they could be linked to more.
The suspects are due to appear in the Durban magistrate's court on Monday.
