If I had a Single Six with only the 22 mag cylinder, and I could get a second 22 mag cylinder, and it fitted in the gun and everything (they don't always interchange) I'd be tempted to get a dude with a lathe to sleeve the chambers of the second cylinder to take 22 LR.
But it'll cost more than a new gun, if you have to pay someone to do it.

Can you not simply cut inserts (little tubes, if you will) for the chamber from copper/steel on a turning table of sorts? Solder them together and insert into the Mag cylinder to accommodate .22LR?
