PPPSC Fundraiser shoot, Saturday 30 August 2014
Hello all,
The Pretoria Police Practical Shooting Club will host a fundraiser IPSC match on SATURDAY, 30 August, at the SAPS Derdepoort Range in Pretoria.
The funds raised on the day will be used to assist one of our club members, Albert Wessels ("1911" on this forum, jip, that's me), who has been selected to represent South Africa at the IPSC World Shoot in Frostproof, USA, in preparing for the event.
The fundraiser match will be in the form of a Level 1 IPSC match and will consist of 5 stages, requiring a minimum of 100 rounds to complete (bring more! J).
I have designend 5 challenging, but mostly fast & fun stages that will give you an insight into IPSC shooting and will test your skills with your pistol. Some of the stages have been copied and slightly modified from events such as the US Nationals and the World Police & Fire Games events.
All safe and competent shooters, preferably with some form of previous competition experience, will be allowed to participate. If you are a SADPA or SAPA affiliated shooter and want to give IPSC a try, this will be a perfect opportunity to do so.
You will need the following:
·Your pistol and at least 2 x magazines. (Three will be better! There is a 32 round stage )
·A sturdy belt and a holster that completely covers the trigger guard of the firearm and magazine pouches.(You dont need a fancy "race holster", your IDPA gear will work perfectly)
·Ear and eye protection. (This is MANDATORY for both competitors and spectators)
·Refreshments, sunblock, hat or cap and clothes suitable for the range. (There are lots of rocks, sticks and stones on the ground and you will be getting dirty. To protect your clothes, toes and other extremities, please wear closed shoes and old clothing. )
·100 x rounds of ammunition. (Bring 150 to be safe)
·R100 entry fee for all participants.
There will not be any refreshments available at the range, so please bring your own!
PLEASE BE AT THE RANGE AT 09:00 TO REGISTER AND THE MATCH WILL START AT 10:00.
There will be a bring &braai after the event and braai fires will be provided, so bring the necessary and join us for a chat about shooting, guns and gear and end the day on a festive note.
Due to size limitations on the range please RSVP by email to: wesselsao@saps.gov.za if you intent to participate on the day and also for directions to the range. Any other enquiries can also be directed to this email address.
Regards,
The Committee

Damn, that sucks T! Was looking forward to having you there, but something has to pay for the shooting
Thanks for the vote of confidence! Our range is not the most hi-tech or or best equiped, but we try to make up for it with interesting stage design.

This is for a good cause guys. Going to the World Shoot sure isn't cheap. And the hospitality at the club is excellent.

Albert, I have another commitment on the 30th. Could you provide us with details to make a donation? Through a PM if you don't want that on the internet?

Thank you for the offer, Prado. And Psychosis. Really appreciate it.
Psychosis: This would be the perfect place to give the Bul a go, nudge, nudge, wink, wink ;)
