Re: Let's talk torches
If you can get a decent P60 host, the options are almost endless. You can get P60-sized modules (drop-ins) for every taste. From lowish output, high runtimes, to triple-LED light blasters with low runtimes. From programmable modes to single mode, using 18650 or more commonly CR123 batteries.
Malkoff arguably makes some of the finest dropins, fully potted and nearly bomb-proof, but they are rather pricey.Sent electronically, thus not signed.

I'm a huge believer in P60 based lights. I've got Surefire and Solarforce hosts and mainly drop-ins from customlites.com. Endless possibilities.

Re: Let's talk torches
Picked up a S30R Baton III. Quite a nice little flashlight, came with a charging stand too. Simple to use and I like the memory function. I've been carrying a Streamlight Stylus Pro USB, although a bit longer quite a lot thinner. I'm so used to the tail cap switch on the streamlight I often find myself looking for it on the Olight.

Re: Let's talk torches
The c6 is a great torch. Enjoying mine.
Or one could try and obtain one of the 169 the police procured.
Must be the best torches on earth seeing they cost R 52m.

I have been "loaned" these 2 units, Jetbeam TH20 (3450lumens) & 3M PRO (1100 lumens).

Re: Let's talk torches
So it seems like someone lifted my PD35 off me in the last week or so. I looked for it Monday morning and can't find it anywhere now. At all. I can't remember if I took it home after work on Friday, so I have no idea what to make of it. Point is, I'm without a light and I won't stand for it. If I can't find it - what would be the recommended light for around R1k these days to get? I actually used that 960 Lumens A LOT (drive around in darkness every single day), so I would really like to get something that'll uphold that power.
I have a bunch of 18650 batteries with a charger, so that'll be the platform I'm aiming for. So far I have found more Fenix torches for good prices, but perhaps someone knows of a gem I'm missing?

Olight M2T.
Less throw than what you are used to, but a very useful beam.
Check out Duane’s store.

I looked at the M2T, but I'm worried about that pocket clip. Is it just me or does it look reaaaaaally crap?
