Re: Let's talk torches
At minimum I want another single CR123A sized light, with tailcap-switched momentary on functionality. I couldn't be bothered with N+1 different programmes or brightnesses. Press for all the lumens temporary, click for all the lumens all the time, turn something for fewer lumens (both my MT1C and i6 essentially work this way).
18650 based lights are frikken awesome, but too long for me to carry along with all the other EDC stuff. For a powerful in-the-house light the Fenix ticks all the boxes, but for that my i6 already does the job sufficiently, and has the interface I'm used to.
I've read up a bit on the Streamlight Protac 1L... there's a version that takes both CR123A and AA. Now that sounds attractive.

Elzetta Alpha ticks the boxes, but their prices have become prohibitive.

EDCL-1T might also tick those boxes.

I also have a nitecore MT1C. Now if it had a micro usb charger, it would be a great pocket carry torch! Enough light and fits in your coin pocket.

Yet again I need to point you all to customlites.com if you're looking for a P60 drop-in. I have been using my latest from them now for a couple of days, a single mode Nichia 219C 4000k 80CRI with orange peel reflector. Well worth the effort to get it to SA.

Re: Let's talk torches
Went camping the weekend before last.
Had my original S1 Baton on my the whole weekend. Got sick at one point and was just lying in the tent. When we packed up on the Sunday I couldn’t find my light anywhere. Here’s hoping that it’s somewhere in one of the tent’s pockets.
So the week after that I EDC my S1 Mini Baton. And on Thursday, I lose it. Somewhere between work and home, it’s gone.
I’m really, really unhappy with this state of affairs.Sent electronically, thus not signed.

That's a dark turn of events, man. Sorry for your losses!
