Nikon ProStaff Scope

Hi all.

Please help me..Looking to buy sako a7 and they said that i can get a free scope (Nikon ProStaff 5 4.5-18x40 IR) Does anyone know the value of this scope?
Do u guy's think the sako a7 is a good buy or not? selling price is R19 900.00 rifle + scope.

That's quite a deal, I think. While I don't like the plastic stock and stainless barrel of the A7, some people do.

Action is not the same as the Mod 85, more like that of a Tikka and I believe the barrels are the same.

I've got a bog-standard Pro-Staff on my .308 (3-9x40) which I'm very happy with. I'll easily buy another one. If I understand correctly the Prostaff 5 is supposed to be better...

I know the plastic stock not as good but all in all the price sounds good for a complete new rifle + scope. Thats why i am trying to find the price of the scope. I dont seem to find it on the internet and my local gun shops dont sell them????

Maybe if i put a silencer on the A7 would be bit better??????

Their other prices looks half decent so this should be a fair value ... I think .... If that is the case, that combo looks like a very nice deal ....

If that IR in the Nikon's name stands for Illuminated Reticle, it's looking at one hell of a deal. R8,000 for the scope and another R1,000 for base and rings leaves less than R11,000 for the rifle, which is a Sako A7!
